The delegation of the Serbian Society for Cardiovascular Surgery participated, at the invitation of Egyptian colleagues, in the program of the 28th Annual Conference of the Egyptian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery (ESCTS), held from November 11–13, 2025, in Port Said.
During the congress, representatives of the Society took part in a joint session with their Egyptian counterparts, where they presented Serbia’s experience in performing the most complex cardiothoracic procedures.
At the meeting with representatives of the Egyptian Society, further cooperation was agreed in the areas of joint research, exchange of professional experience, as well as the exchange of physicians during specialization and training programs.
As part of the conference, a series of expert interviews was also conducted, featuring members of our Society, who discussed key challenges, current trends, and perspectives on the development of cardiac surgery in Serbia.
