BELGRADE, SERBIA — The Dedinje Cardiovascular Institute has announced it will host a premier two-day “Aortic Masterclass” from September 4th to 5th, 2026. The educational event will focus on the modern management of aortic valve disease, bringing together healthcare professionals from around the globe to discuss advanced surgical strategies.
Designed as a comprehensive clinical pathway, the masterclass will cover everything from preoperative diagnostics to long-term surveillance. The two-day agenda will feature live surgical procedures, technical video demonstrations, and interactive case-based discussions.
Day one will be heavily focused on a step-by-step approach to aortic valve repair and the Ross procedure. The second day will shift focus to annular and root enlargement strategies to avoid prosthesis-patient mismatch, as well as the use of aortic annuloplasty rings in contemporary valve repair.
The Dedinje Institute will welcome an esteemed lineup of international guest experts, including Dr. Bo Yang (USA), Dr. Ruggero De Paulis (Italy), Prof. Jan Vojacek (Czech Republic), Dr. Jan Gofus (Czech Republic), Dr. George Stavridis (Greece), and Dr. Giulio Folino (Italy).
Organized by Prof. Slobodan Mićović, Acad. Prof. Milovan Bojić, and Prof. Milan Milojević, the masterclass aims to foster the exchange of scientific ideas and disseminate the latest clinical knowledge in cardiovascular medicine.
